Statement of Faith
GOD: We believe in one God (1 Timothy 2:5) who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19) . God is all powerful (Genesis 1:1) , eternal (Psalm 90:2) , sovereign (Matthew 6:10, 1 Chronicles 29:11) , loving (John 3:16), forgiving (1 John 1:9), merciful (Psalm 117) , patient (Exodus 34:6), just (Ecclesiastes 3:16-17) and graceful (Ephesians 2:8-9).
  • For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
  • Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19 WEB)
  • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1 WEB)
  • Before the mountains were brought forth, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. (Psalm 90:2 WEB)
  • Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10 KJV)
  • Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all. (1 Chronicles 29:11 WEB)
  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16 WEB)
  • If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 KJV)
  • O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalm 117 KJV)
  • Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth (Exodus 34:6 ASV)
  • Moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there. I said in my heart, "God will judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work." (Ecclesiastes 3:16-17 WEB)
  • for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB)

JESUS CHRIST: We believe that Jesus Christ is God who lived in the flesh as man (John 10:1, John 1:1,14)! He was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18) and born of a virgin (Luke 1:34-35) as promised by God (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1: 22-23) . He was tempted, yet lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:14-15) , and performed many signs and miracles by the power of God (John 3:1-2, John 6:2) . He voluntarily suffered and died (John 10:15,18) on the cross to pay for the sins of all people (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, 1 John 2:2) , and rose from the dead (Mark 16:6, 1 Corinthians 15:4) . He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9) , where He sits at the right hand of God the Father (Mark 16:19) . He will return to the earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11) , and He will judge and rule with righteousness (Revelation 19:11-16) .
  • I and the Father are one. (John 10:1 ASV, WEB,...)
  • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1 WEB)
  • The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14 WEB)
  • Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this; for after his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 1:18 WEB)
  • Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, seeing I am a virgin?" The angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:34-35 WEB)
  • Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14 KJV)
  • Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son. They shall call his name Immanuel;" which is, being interpreted, "God with us." (Matthew 1:22-23 WEB)
  • Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession. For we don't have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:14-15 WEB)
  • Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to him by night, and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him." (John 3:1-2 WEB)
  • And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.(John 6:2 KJV)
  • even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep. (John 10:15 WEB)
  • No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father. (John 10:18 WEB)
  • For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3 KJV)
  • In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace (Ephesians 1:7 KJV)
  • And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. (1 John 2:2 WEB)
  • He said to them, "Don't be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him! (Mark 16:6 WEB)
  • And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures;(1 Corinthians 15:4 KJV)
  • When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. (Acts 1:9 WEB)
  • So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19 WEB)
  • ..."You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky." (Acts 1:11 WEB)
  • I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called "The Word of God." The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen. Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."(Revelation 19:11-16 WEB)

THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe that the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4)! He has come to guide us into the truth, and to glorify Jesus Christ (John 16:13-14), as well as to make the world aware of sin (John 16:8) . He regenerates (Titus 3:5), lives in (1 Corinthians 6:19) , and seals believers with the promise of redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30) . He imparts gifts to believers (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) , and enables them to resist the desires of the flesh and to live holy lives (Galatians 5:16) , and be children of God (Romans 8:13-14) .
  • But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? While you kept it, didn't it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn't it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven't lied to men, but to God." (Acts 5:3-4 WEB)
  • However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming. He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you. (John 16:13-14 WEB)
  • And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8 KJV)
  • Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost (Titus 3:5 KJV)
  • Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own;(1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB)
  • in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation,--in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14 WEB)
  • Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30 WEB)
  • Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord. There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all. For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit; and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages. But the one and the same Spirit works all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 WEB)
  • This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16 KJV)
  • For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. (Romans 8:13-14 WEB)

THE BIBLE: We believe that the 66 books of the Holy Bible, while written by men, were inspired by God (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16) , and that they are without error of any kind in the original writings (Proverbs 30:5) . Furthermore, the Holy Bible is the authoritative Word of God, providing every answer for mankind's every need (2 Timothy 3:15-17) . The Word of God will last forever (Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 5:18) .

  • For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.(2 Peter 1:21 WEB)
  • Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. (Proverbs 30:5 WEB)
  • From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15-17 WEB)
  • The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8 WEB)
  • For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished. (Matthew 5:18 WEB)

SALVATION: We believe that mankind is sinful by nature (Romans 3:23, 5:12, 7:18 John 3:19-20), and in need of a savior (John 3:16-17). Without our savior Jesus Christ, we will die in our sin (Romans 6:23) . We can not be saved by our works. We can only be saved by God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:7) through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-10, John 5:24) .
  • For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 KJV)
  • Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12 WEB)
  • For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good. (Romans 7:18 WEB)
  • This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn't come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. (John 3:19-20 WEB)
  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. (John 3:16-17 WEB)
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 WEB)
  • for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB)
  • That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:7 KJV)
  • ...if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10 WEB)
  • "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. (John 5:24 WEB)

DUTY OF CHRISTIANS: We believe that it is the duty of Christians to go into the whole world, and to preach the Gospel to everyone. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20) .
  • He said to them, "Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation. (Mark 16:15, WEB)
  • Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20 WEB)
